Allred #21 is over and every part of my body hurt, including my eyelashes, as we drove home yesterday afternoon. The body aches and sleep deprivation are all worth it because there are 42 guys that have been introduced or reintroduced to our BFF Jesus. It is also time we get to spend with our Kairos family. We get to cook, count cookies, put together prayer chains, wash a never ending sea of dishes and spend quiet time in Chapel. I will miss my Kairos family very much.
.Kairos (καιρός) is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune moment (the supreme moment). The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies a time in between, a moment of indeterminate time in which something special happens. The travelers on the road to Emmaus experienced Kairos time. Allred #21 was Kairos time
